I have only written infrequently about the arts and this article is one of my favorites.   The oldest living surrealist in America lives in northern Pennsylvania.  In his 80’s, Vojen Check Colini knew all the artists who shook the world of traditional art, men and women like Max Ernst, Dorothea Tanning, Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray.  A practicing Buddhist, Colini is one of those rare people whose gentle sense of humor and his warmth and love of art, in all forms, are visible in his works of art.
